This is a photograph taken as part of a series for my high school visual art major work. This style of photograph is called 'light graffiti' and uses lights to create patterns and shapes in a long exposure photograph. This particular photo uses LED lights, created by taping a diode to a simple watch battery, as the light source. To create the effect, a camera is set up with a long shutter speed so that the motion of the lights may be captured.
This building, called 'Zentrum Paul Klee' (Paul Klee Centre), is an art museum designed by architect Renzo Piano. The building is located in Bern, Switzerland and is designed to showcase the work of Swiss artist and poet Paul Klee. The building is made of three primary materials, steel, glass and concrete, which make up the three primary curves, all of which house a different aspect of the life and work of Paul Klee - housing a total of 4,000 pieces of his work.
I find great beauty in photography of nighttime scenes, this is one scene that i find particularly beautiful. This is a photograph i took quite a few years back at Nelson bay. This photograph looks out past the head at Fingal Bay, including the beach, the full moon and the houses on the head
